very rare original Howard & Sons stamped Victorian restored club armchair A very good looking period example, the inside back leg is stamped with the serial number 15570 6131 and Howard & Son’s Berners Street LTD. The chair has a full top to bottom, Victorian coil-sprung frame, that’s not just the seat platform but the arms and back as well. The seat is finished with a double sided feather filled base cushion. These really are the most comfortable armchairs in the world hence the Queen owning a large private collection The chair has been slightly restored to include the timber being cleaned waxed and polished, the upholstery has been professionally cleaned and is in good order throughout Dimensions: Height 98 cm, seat height 36cm Width 85cm Depth 107 cm.
