A very impressive ensemble including a large Gilt Wood Mirror and a Gilt Console with Marble Top. Provenance: the Dodge estate near Tuxedo Park, NY. Both in matching elaborate Baroque style. The mirror with feather crest, scrolled lower sides, and floral details overall on the surround. The serpentine console with deep scrolled leafy apron and tall scrolled legs with cartouche form stretcher. With fine white conforming marble top.
The Mirror measures 46” wide by 54” high by 4.25” deep (At top).
The Console measures 47.75” wide by 17” deep by 36.25” high. (These measurements are given below).
Condition: Please see all detail photos. The mirror with flaking gilt on the small middle right shelf, upper right scroll with a stable age crack, snd slight stable crack on the left upper scroll, slight loss to mirror silver upper left. The Console in very good condition with only acceptable age-related wear including some gilt loss mostly at the base. Despite the losses the Ensemble presents in a Magnificent fashion and has lost none of it’s Grandeur.
