Blue baroque long case clock from the mid to late 18th century, between 1770 and 1790. The clock is Swedish and made from Swedish pine with the original blue paint as well as the authentic patina from the 18th century. The patina has naturally developed trough the years to the irreplaceable charm it has today with different tones in the paint and genuine antique character. A well crafted detail is the hand wrought hardware and hasp in iron on the doors. This type of clock with a rectangular clock face are the earliest models. It was only a few decades later when the round clock face was introduced. This clock face is wood with painted details. The mechanism along with the weights and pendulum are serviced and runs but we don’t leave any guarantees on the future function. Healthy and solid frame.
