\n Stunning large 2-panel folding Japanese screen (byobu) with beautifully painted peonies, irises and other flowers and plants. Gouache on foil over paper. Silk border. Lacquered black wood frame. Paper and two Asian style brass hangers on back. Japan, Shōwa Era, circa 1970s. Very good condition – minor age wear, touch ups on the frame, repair on second panel and back, clean, sturdy.<\/p>\n
