A Spanish Baroque studded coffer from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. This antique Spanish coffer, with it’s rectangular-shaped body, has been ornately decorated with nailhead brass studs (which have a dark patina from age) along the entire front, top and each side, giving it a one of a kind look. The interior is open with a small upper compartment flanking each side for additional storage. Some areas, particularly around the edges, are showing the wear of centuries of use, but we find that only adds character and does not interfere with form or function. There are some subtle remnants of old green paint found within various areas of this trunk. This handsome Spanish Baroque coffer will be a great statement piece with functional storage for any living space.
