Beautiful console in solid mahogany and cuban mahogany veneer from the 18th century, presenting a thick beige marble with pink and orange tones, veined with grey and white.
This original marble has a groove and a shape with protrusions that follows the lines of this piece of furniture full of history.
The belt opens with a large drawer in front and two smaller ones with rounded shapes on the sides. They are veneered with mahogany burl and inlaid with brass fillets, and are each equipped with original entrances and locks in working order, accompanied by their attached keys.
This set is supported by square section feet, inlaid with filets on each side and presenting bronze motifs on each side of the central drawer. These motifs, finely sculpted, are topped by small chutes decorated with a louis xvi knot.
This piece of furniture benefits from a mahogany shelf decorated with a finely worked brass gallery in its upper part.
In the lower part, the feet are surrounded by a bronze ring, then profile in gaine on the four faces decorated with inlay of net, and end with brass sabots.
