The first experiments carried out by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945 on the molding of plywood which could adapt as best as possible to the silhouette of the human body. The Eames studied the structure of the bones of the human body in order to perfect their molding. Modeled and tested hundreds of times, the final chair has two parts: the back and the petal-shaped seat. It is published by Herman Miller in the United States. Impressed the organic lines of the shells and the slightly flexible backrests, these light and compact seats are extremely comfortable.
