Vintage Design
The Hungarian artist Judit Burián designed the Erika chair in 1959. She was inspired by the chair of French designer, Pierre Guariche Tonneau. Erika was produced by the SZKIV (Chair – and Upholstery Industry Factory) in tens of thousands of copies. The chair was used in almost all Hungarian households during the socialist period. It retains the original fabric and is a comfortable working or dining chair. The wood parts are original and in a beautiful condition.
