English regency mahogany sofa table, early 19th century. With a mahogany top with burled ash crossbanding and two D shaped drop leaves, two frieze drawers on the front side with string inlay, the back side with string inlay, a baluster shaped pedestal with 4 down swept
mahogany legs ending in brass lion paw feet, resting on brass casters. Dimensions of table top when drop leaves are raised, width 57.5″ X 25.5″. Dimensions of table top when drop leaves are lowered, width 36″ X 25.5″. Knee clearance 22.25″. Hand dove tailed drawer construction. Could be used as either a sofa table or a writing table.
