Vintage Design
This wonderful large daybed comes for Shanxi province, central China. It was produced from elm during the late nineteenth century, styled with each leg ending in delicate horse hoof feet and supported on all four sides by long stretchers, shaped with an S style curve at each end.
Over time the original finish has worn to reveal the beautiful grain and natural tones of the elm wood. This large imposing table oozes charm and character and would work perfectly today as a coffee table or additional seating at the end of a bed or in front of a large window or patio door.
