This antique statue of the first President of the United States, George Washington, is made of French plaster and is in good condition, His gaze is serious, almost stern, and his pose exudes authority and wisdom. This is emphasized by the book to his right, upon which his right hand is resting. But bears partial blemishes and restorations. The left hand is missing. Wear consistent with age and use, circa 1860-1880, France.
