Vintage Design
An unusual and rare early 19th-century bow ended freestanding French marquetry cabinet with a marble top. It is made from tulipwood and is inlaid with exotic woods. It has the original white and grey molded edge and shaped marble top with lovely marquetry decoration on the front, sides and back. It has two deep push-pull oak lined drawers with original brass handles. A door at each side opens to reveal a single fixed shelf. Each door has its own locking mechanism. It features lovely quality bold brass mounts and a shaped apron. It stands on cabriole legs, terminating on brass feet. It was produced circa 1820.
