1960s Kay Bojesen Teak Wood Butter Dish and Glass Cloche

Offered is a carved and lathed Teak wood butter dish that resembles a cheese platter and comes with a glass cloche designed by Kay Bojesen and made in Denmark in the 1950s. The glass cloche was made by Holmegaard, a renowned glass factory

“Kay Bojesen (1886 – 1958) was a Danish silversmith and designer. He is best known for creating wooden animals, especially his wooden monkey which was exhibited at the Victoria and Albert museum in London in the 1950s, and which today is considered a design classic.”

It is paired with a vintage small-sized stainless steel butter and jam spreader with a Teak wood handle made in Japan in the 1960s.

The butter plate measures 6.5″ in diameter, 0.875″ in height, and its carved inner bowl measures 4″ in diameter, and 0.5″ in depth.

The glass cloche measures 4.375″ in diameter and 3.5″ in height to the tip of the handle.

The butter spreader measures 0.625″ in width, 5.625″.
