Very large engraving by Francois Joseph Aime de Lemud (1817-1887). Published in 1863

Scene with Ludwig van Beethoven asleep at his harpsichord exhausted after the efforts of composing. His dream is manifested with allegorical figures seen behind him. Among them is a conductor, seen from behind.
