Contemporary Design
This item challenges the classic upholstery technique while it also offers a new concept. The luscious, soft look and touch conceals a metal construction, which gives it stiffness. The textile cover of the pouf is made from hand-knitted flower-like elements. These elements were designed by artisans. Each flower is knitted with a grey cotton yarn, that has a touch of gold polyester, while the back side of the knit is deep violet, adding a mysterious sense to the pouf. The elements were knitted from bespoke yarns, produced from the highest quality cotton and polyester, in vast color pallets.
In addition to being a contemporary textile design studio, Iota is also a social project. The company employs women who are otherwise unable to work, however, after being taught the crochet technique, they can work from home.
Maintenance:
Remove dust regularly with a vacuum cleaner with no brushes. The use of chemical cleaners and water may harm the product. Harder stains may be gently removed with a moist cloth.
